A History of Sanitech

See below a brief history of Sanitech. The company has grown since it was founded in 1974 and has an outstanding track record. With more than five decades of local experience and the global support of Waco International, Sanitech is the only toilet hire company with the necessary national fleet to maintain a competitive edge.

1974

Sanitech is founded

Sanitech was founded in 1974 as the first portable toilet hire company in South Africa to supply sanitation facilities to areas in which no sanitation infrastructure existed.

1996

Hygiene division is established

This division is now a leading service provider of professional washroom hygiene services. It offers a comprehensive range of effective, durable and reliable hygiene products and services. These products include sanitisers, wipes, toilet tissue dispensers, sanitary bins, hand washing and hand drying components. The integrated solution provides daily cleaning, deep cleaning, pest control services, laundry services, specialised high rise cleaning as well as washroom equipment, available on a monthly contract basis.

2007

Waco International acquires Sanitech

Waco International focused equipment rental and industrial services business with operations in Africa( South Africa and other sub- Saharan African countries), Australasia ( Australia and New Zealand) and Chile. The Group provides services in the areas of formwork, shoring and scaffolding, insulation, painting and blasting, hydraulics and suspended access platforms, relocatable modular buildings, portable sanitation and integrated hygiene services.

2016

Sanitech today

Today, Sanitech’s Toilet Hire division has a wide network of branches throughout South Africa and branches in Namibia and Mozambique. It and has the largest rental fleet in the country with 30,000 units and 330 vehicles.
